On Saturday February 4th over 100 student volunteers from Point Loma Nazarene University and UCSD helped plant over 400 native plants at a restoration site in Border Field State Park.

California State Parks Environmental Stewards, Tijuana Estuary and WiLDCOAST staff worked with student volunteers for three hoursto plant Sage, Coyote grass, Lemonadeberry, Sumac and Toyon. These native plant species provide important habitat for a variety of resident, migrator, threatened and endangered avian species in the Tijuana River Valley.
